Adding Favorites

The application navigator in ServiceNow can be a bit intimidating, given that it has so many applications which you’ll likely never use. However, there’s no need to panic every time you search for an application — the ‘favorites’ feature enables you to save and easily access just the applications you intend on using.

For this demonstration, we’ll add two applications from the ‘Service Desk’ module to our favorites

To begin filtering for which applications you’d like to save to your favorites, expand the module in the navigator by clicking on it. If you with to favorite the module as a whole, simply click on the star that appears next to the module you’ve selected.

To favorite only specific application, hover over them and click on the star icon that appears.

For this demonstration, we’ve added ‘My Work’ and ‘Incidents’ from the ‘Service Desk’ to our favorites.

When you’ve selected the appropriate applications, navigate to the favorites tab which is indicated with a solid-colored star.

Congratulations! You should now see everything you’ve specifically selected for your favorites conveniently in one tab without any other clutter.
